PuckLine
The UNISTA’s PUCKLINE from UNISTA is an innovative and flexible robotic production line, designed to meet your packaging needs in the cosmetics (soaps, shampoos, lotions, creams, etc.), pharmaceutical, chemical, and home care industries.
This machine efficiently handles all types of packaging and closures, even for small production runs.
Highly automated, it stands out for its ability to switch formats very quickly (20 to 30 minutes) while simultaneously performing the clean-in-place (CIP) procedure, all with a minimum number of format parts.
It operates at a high throughput of 60 to 120 units per minute, ensuring seamless and efficient integration into your production lines.

The PuckLine offers excellent integration flexibility thanks to its modular design and compact footprint. The pucks system is designed to optimize your space; pucks adjustment pucks automatically without operator intervention (in parallel with the CIP process), thereby eliminating the need to store a large number of pucks.
The operator is only responsible for changing the robots’ format components. The feeder (FlexiSorter) automatically dispenses packages from a hopper into the pucks system. Thanks to a high-precision vision system with backlighting, the machine can easily feed bottles of any shape and material, whether transparent or opaque.
Designed for optimal industrial reliability, the line uses UNISTA software to facilitate the implementation of new products. It features a high-quality HMI interface with RFID badge authentication.
Electrical cabinets with illuminated glass doors allow for quick visual monitoring and easy access for the maintenance team.
Finally, the use of robots and cameras eliminates the need for mechanical parts to feed items onto the conveyor belt, requiring only simple 3D-printed grippers.
Options to suit your applications.
To suit your projects, the line consists of various modules:
– Filling machine with integrated CIP (FlexiFiller): A dosing system using flow meters capable of handling up to 16 filling nozzles. It features a self-learning and dose-monitoring system that ensures high filling accuracy and superior final product quality. The integrated CIP procedure ensures fast and efficient cleaning without unnecessary downtime.
– Capping Machine (Flexicapper): A system featuring 4 to 8 capping heads, coupled with two or three robots that distribute and feed caps to the heads. This single module ensures a continuous supply of caps without any backlog. It accommodates all types of closures: cosmetic pumps, spray/trigger dispensers, flip-tops, and push-pull caps. The module also includes a system for verifying the presence and quality of the closure.
– Labeling machine (FlexiLabeller): A module that enables "non-stop" labeling thanks to a dual labeling head, thereby maximizing the equipment's overall productivity (OPS).

UNISTA’s PuckLine is ideal for packaging in the cosmetics, pharmaceutical, chemical, and home care industries, handling all types of packaging.
This automated line has a production rate of 60 to 120 units per minute. Format changes take 20 to 30 minutes and are performed simultaneously with the cleaning-in-place (CIP) process.
The pucks adjusted automatically without any manual intervention. This design minimizes the footprint and eliminates the need to stock multiple pucks sizes.
The FlexiFiller offers up to 16 dispensing nozzles per flow meter. It features automatic dose calibration and a clean-in-place (CIP) procedure.
This automated, non-buffering capping module handles all types of closures—including pump tops, sprays, trigger tops, flip-tops, and push-pull caps—with built-in quality control.
This module uses a dual-head design that enables non-stop labeling. This eliminates downtime and maximizes the equipment’s overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
